New Year

It just seemed like yesterday when I was a little baby crying on my mother’s arms. When I was attending my first day at kindergarten, elementary, high school, and then college. I was always a shy girl, but I’ve managed to make a lot of friends. I was a good dancer, an athlete, and an academic achiever, yet I wasn’t popular. And then I graduated, moved to the city, started working, and earned my first paycheck.

A lot has changed since I was that little girl. As I turned 26, I'd like to believe that I became a wiser, braver, and better woman. There are many things I have done and I regret, but those mistakes are what made me who I am now.

I am not perfect, not even on the verge of being one. There are times when I feel like a loser, especially when I get to see other people do so well in life. But I am proud of the person I have become, and the things I have achieved. My parents taught me to live simply, because that’s how you’ll be able to feel genuine happiness.

I wasn’t planning anything special for my birthday this year. I just wanted to have some good food, and the company of my family, friends, and loved ones. Guess plans don't always happen, because I got to celebrate it for three days! Yahoo! 🎉

Friday

When I got home from work, Wilmar, Ma and Camille did a little surprise for me. It was really sweet. Thank you. guys! I super love the lights! 😍 You know me well.

I mean, look at that Wonder Woman version of me. Hahaha. Bam! 😂

I slept soon after we had lunch, because my head was already throbbing due to lack of sleep.

That night, we went grocery shopping for the ingredients we’re gonna need for the celebration the next day. I then decided to buy ice cream for my favorite babies from the block. These kids keep me young and up to date of millennial stuff. ☺️

They played UNO cards after my ice cream treat!

I didn't join in the game, but I had so much fun watching them. Ate nila talaga ako!

Saturday

I left early and met with my friend Rachelle Anne and Jerrick to visit the wake of our classmate, Filrael. He had died of Pneumonia last Thursday, and it was really a shock to our whole class. He will surely be missed.

Anyway, my cousins came over to party! We were supposed to go swimming that night, but the weather wasn't friendly that time so we just decided to have booze and do karaoke! We also played UNO cards. It was fun and epic! 😆

Sunday

To relieve our hangovers, we decided to go swimming because it wasn't raining anymore. Well, we Garcias love the water, eh. Off to Cabuko Resort, people!

Say hi to the gang! 👋

Macho Gwapitos of Team G 💪

My girl gang 🙋🏻🙋🏻🙋🏻

Diving Lessons 101. Favorite part of the day, to be honest. Hahaha

And that's it! I wanna thank everyone for their well wishes. I wouldn't be who and where I am today without all of you. I love you all! 😘

Here's to hoping that this new year I would be wiser, braver, and better.

Cheers!
