I've been living in Quezon City for years now, but I haven't explored much around the area. I guess my introvert switch always wins over going out with my friends. Still, there are times when I feel like I need to get out and discover what the city can offer.

My friend Jan and I usually go out on budget-friendly shopping trips, book hunts, and feeding our little bodies with delicious food. Most recently, we went to Kanto Freestyle Breakfast in Tomas Morato for a fun breakfast after a grueling graveyard shift.

Kanto Freestyle Breakfast is located at 79-B Sct. Fuentebella St. corner Tomas Morato. It's a little hole-in-the-wall place, with simple interiors that exude an easy-going vibe. It's open for 24 hours making it a perfect place to go when you get some midnight cravings.

Here's Kanto's menu. You can see that the prices won't break our hearts and wallets, plus the food is good and cooked fresh.

Let's move on to my favorite part- eating time!

Here's what Jan and I ordered. This is the Spam and Eggs under Kanto Boy Breakfast meals. It comes with Garlic Rice and Tomato Pesto. You can request whether to have your eggs served scrambled or sunny-side-up.

Meanwhile, I got the Bacon and Eggs meal. The Tomato Pesto was a revelation for me because I really love tomatoes and adding up a light pesto sauce gave it a refreshing twist.

Happy tummies, happy faces! :)

After a fulfilling meal, Jan and I went for a quick trip to the Quezon City Public Library. I was really excited because it's been ages since I've been in a library. Our bibliophile hearts jumped for joy as we saw the building filled with books and other reading materials.

There is no admission fee, and the library is open from 8 AM to 5 PM. There are lots of books to choose from, but you can only borrow three books at a time. Also, you have to leave an I.D. to the designated librarian before reading them. There are also computers available, which are useful for students doing their papers and research.

Unfortunately, we only stayed there for two hours because our eyes can't hold any longer due to lack of sleep, but we'll definitely be coming back to explore the shelves some more.

That's it! I hope you enjoyed my little Q.C. exploration. If you're craving for breakfast food, head on to Kanto Freestyle Breakfast. Don't forget to visit the Quezon City Public Library for a quick book fix.

See you around!
