Missing Art

I remember when I was little, I've always wanted to become an artist. When asked what would I want to be when I grow up, the answer's always 'I want to be a painter'. Papers, pens and crayons were my best friends. I even drew on my room's walls thinking it was a large canvas.
People then start to recognize my works. They said they admired how I use colors to give an image a new life. Because of this, I have joined drawing and coloring competitions. Too bad I didn't won. Still, it was an amazing experience for me. Besides, I got the 'Best in Arts' award in the elementary department from my school four years in a row so that was much better for me.
Times passed, and my interests changed. I didn't become a painter. Instead I became a writer. Writing is an art too. But my love for visual arts will always be in my heart. I did paintings and drawings every now and then, but nothing grand. And now I'm missing it so much. I'm thinking of going back.
Check out my favorites: Hong Yi, a Malaysian artist and architect who 'loves to paint, but not with a paintbrush' and Valerie Chua, a Filipino visual artist who uses watercolor, gouache and acrylic. Their works really inspire me so I've decided to start again.
Watch out for my future works. Wish me luck! :D
